The museum is on the sea-front of Hartlepool on England’s north-east coast. https://www.nmm.org.uk/visit-us/hartlepool
It is the home of HMS Trincomalee a Royal Navy Frigate built in 1817 in Bombay (Mumbai), India and sailed to Britain, arriving in 1819. After a very varied history she was restored by the Royal Navy in 1992 and is the oldest British warship afloat.
The museum of which she is part has terrific displays of all the trades and workshops from her era.
She has a sister ship, HMS Unicom which is open to the public and undergoing long term preservation work in Dundee.
